The Counting Block is the precursor to the Math Blocks since it recognizes and counts the sum of the building blocks it is stacked on. The Shape Block also identifies the blocks it is placed on and asks questions about the shapes and numbers on the tops of the blocks.
- Green Counting Block: Counts the sum of the blocks it is placed on
- Yellow Shape Block: Identifies 8 different shapes
- Orange ABC Block: Spells 26 words.

Spelling is Fun with Talking Building Blocks! The most educationally packed Smart Block set is the Counting, Shape, and ABC Blocks. The ABC Block spells 26 different words such as:
- “C is for Cat, C-A-T, cat … (meow)”
- “M is for Mommy, M-O-M-M-Y, Mommy”
- Just stack them and start learning to spell; some of the letters even have fun sound effects as shown above.
The one, two, three, four, and five building toy blocks in the 70 Piece Set each have different shapes and numbers on their posts. There are a total of eight shapes (square, circle, triangle, rectangle, diamond, star, heart, and moon) and five numbers (1, 2, 3, 4, and 5). The Shape Block identifies and teaches your child about all of these shapes and numbers. The Shape Block tells you what blocks it has been placed on and then asks you to find which block has a particular shape on it, “You put me on a three block and a four block, which block has a triangle.” It will also ask you to identify all the shapes on a block, “You put me on a two block, what shapes are on it?”
The Counting block tells you what blocks it has been placed on and then counts the two blocks either forward or backwards – “You put me on a four block and a two block, lets count those blocks backwards, 6-5-4-3-2-1.”
The Counting Block will also be your child’s first introduction to math. The Counting Block counts the sum of the two building toy blocks it is placed on. Your child will be learning math without even knowing it. After they have mastered these, they will be ready for the amazing Math Blocks which begin with Monkey Math and then continue with formal math with the Addition and Subtraction Block.
These building toy blocks each have a ticklish spot and will not activate twice in a row when placed on the same blocks.
